'Utsuwa', meaning 'for everyday use', it embodies the ethos of handmaking in Japan, where handcrafted wares must be as practical as they are beautiful. It is a ceramic brand by Japanese artist Yuta Miyazaki.
After working as a graphic designer in Tokyo, Yuta Miyazaki moved to Arita and started making pottery. After graduating from the Saga Prefectural Arita College of Ceramics’ two-year course, he currently has a studio in the Uchiyama area and is currently making pottery using a potter's
wheel.
He aims to create tableware that can be used in everyday life without hesitation.
